|From our State Deputy entitled "A Sad Day for Illinois":|
Brother Knight’s All,
It is with great sadness I must inform you that Former Vice Supreme Master Paul Isherwood was called home early this morning. Paul wanted only joy from all of us as he was called home to his Heavenly Father where there is nothing but JOY.
I for one will miss Paul for many reasons, the biggest reason would be his love of all of us. Paul continued to work for the Knights throughout his fight with cancer. He was active in all four (4) degrees, he worked with the state in several rolls to include the Silver Rose Program working with all dioceses and our neighboring States.
Over the years Paul always was active in the Chicago Archdiocese in countless roles working for nine (9) State Deputies. Paul was a man who would do anything to help the Catholic Church and our Order grow. He was a man of great faith who never questioned God and instead said “let your will be done.”
Recently in a phone call with Paul he spoke of only Joy, no Sadness, as he explained he was going home. He stated how much he would miss all of us but he would continue to work for the Knights of Illinois interceding for us to our Heavenly Father.
Paul never asked why or what he could or would do. He always asked “how can I help you”.
His laughter and the Joy he spoke of multiplied greatly after his daughter’s birth. He always was a proud papa and smiled always when he talked about Victoria.
His love of his wife also showed in his eyes and his voice when he talked about her.
Please remember that now more than ever his family needs your prayers and support
May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
